Hi. My name is MeLynda Rinker, and I am the founder of 50 Shades of Pink, where “Positively Positive Pink Positivity” is our motto.
What started out as a group for simply sharing pink photos with other lovers of pink became a place where positivity is everything, and pink positivity is even better.
Through the pandemic, as people became isolated and volatile with each other, ugliness toward our fellow human beings was par for the course, especially on social media, but it didn’t have to be, and our “Be Kind or Be Gone” rule was used way too often.
The positive quotes in our group were gaining traction, however, and due to the sheer number of them coming in, we chose to only keep those that focused solely on positive ideas and thoughts to get to more positivity. Thus, the Positivity Paradigm Shift idea was born, and I began writing a year of positively positive quotes.
Through the simple idea of rewording the negatives to focus only on the positives, what is meant to be a positive quote becomes a positively positive quote, so I challenged myself to write a year of positively positive quotes.
It was not always easy to implement, and our members, and even my team, struggled to fully grasp the concept. We have been trained to view positivity through the lens of negativity, to let go of the bad to get to the good.
I have had professionals tell me that we must accept the negatives to work our way out of the quagmire of pain and guilt and self-loathing, and perhaps there is some truth in that, but I want to move forward, living life through rose-colored sunglasses and focusing on the beauty that is in the world.
I can tell you, from my own personal experiences, it is possible for quotes to focus only on the positivity, and I hope you will join us in implementing our positivity paradigm shift where we are changing the world, one positive quote at a time.
